Atlantic Ocean (July 25, 2004) - An F/A-18 Hornet assigned to the "Gunslingers" of Strike Fighter Squadron One Zero Five (VFA-105) launches from the flight deck, marking the official end of air wing operations aboard USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) during Summer Pulse 2004. Truman's participation in Summer Pulse supports the Navy's new fleet response plan (FRP), the deployment of seven carrier strike groups (CSGs), demonstrating the ability of the Navy to provide credible combat across the globe, in five theaters with other U.S., allied, and coalition military forces.
