Pacific Ocean (Jan. 18, 2005) -- USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) crew members observe the arrested landing of an F/A-18C Hornet assigned to the "Argonauts" of Strike Fighter Squadron One Four Seven (VFA-147), during the first day of flight operations aboard the ship. The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier is participating in a Joint Task Force Exercise (JTFEX), the ship's final step before leaving on its scheduled deployment.
