PERSIAN GULF (June 20, 2007) -- Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Equipment)
2nd Class Ricky Criswell signals an F/A-18E Super Hornet, assigned to
the "Tophatters" of Strike Fighter Attack Squadron (VFA) 14, to hook up
to the catapult in preparation for launch aboard nuclear-powered
aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). Nimitz Carrier Strike Group and
embarked Carrier Air Wing 11 are deployed in the U.S. 5th Fleet
conducting maritime operations and supporting the global war on
