ATLANTIC OCEAN (Nov. 18, 2009) -- Cmdr. Joe Barnes, executive officer
of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 143, lands aboard the aircraft carrier
USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) during his 1,000th career arrested
recovery. CVN-69 is embarked aboard Dwight D. Eisenhower, which is
conducting a three-week Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX) in
preparation for its upcoming 2010 deployment. COMPTUEX is a joint
combined exercise conducted off the U.S. East Coast. U.S. Navy
