Central Command Area of Responsibility (May 17, 2003) -- Aviation Machinist's Mate 1st Class Patrick Reynolds from Queen Creek, Ariz., guides an F-18E Super Hornet assigned to the "Top Hatters" of Strike Fighter Squadron Fourteen (VFA-14) into position for launch from one of four steam-powered catapults on the flight deck aboard USS Nimitz (CVN 68).  The Nimitz Carrier Strike Force and Carrier Air Wing 11 (CVW-11) are currently deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, the multi-national coalition effort to liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraq's weapons of mass destruction, and end the regime of Saddam Hussein.  U.S. Navy photo by Airman Angel G.
