Arabian Gulf (May 26, 2003) -- A plane captain begins start-up
procedures on an F/A-18 Super Hornet prior to the first launch cycle of
the day aboard USS Nimitz (CVN 68). The Nimitz Carrier Strike
Force and Carrier Air Wing Eleven (CVW-11) are deployed in support of
Operation Iraqi Freedom, the multi-national coalition effort to
liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraq's weapons of mass
destruction, and end the regime of Saddam Hussein. U.S. Navy
