Aboard USS Nimitz (CVN 68) May 17, 2003 - An F/A-18E Super Hornet, assigned to the "Tophatters" of Strike Fighter Squadron One Four (VFA-14), prepares to launch from one of four steam-driven catapults aboard the nuclear powered aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) during flight operations.  The Nimitz Carrier Strike Group and Carrier Air Wing Eleven (CVW-11) are deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, the multi-national coalition effort to liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraq's weapons of mass destruction, and end the regime of Saddam Hussein.  U.S. Navy photo by Photographer's Mate 3rd Class Yesenia Rosas.  (RELEASED)
