At sea aboard USS Nimitz (CVN 68) Sep. 18, 2002 -- An F/A-18E Super Hornet assigned to the "Tophatters" of Strike Fighter Squadron One Four (VFA-14) prepares to launch from one of four steam driven catapults on the ship's flight deck.  This is the first time that a full air wing has embarked on Nimitz since 1997, following the ship's homeport change from Norfolk, Va., to San Diego, Calif.  Nimitz is undergoing Tailored Ship's Training Availability (TSTA) Operations Two and Three off the coast of California.  TSTA has specific training events designed to incrementally enhance the ship's operating proficiency and gradually integrate the air wing with the ship.  U.S. Navy photo by Photographer's Mate 3rd Class Yesenia Rosas.  (RELEASED)
