Atlantic Ocean (Mar. 31, 2005) -- An F/A-18F Super Hornet, assigned to the “Red Rippers” of Strike Fighter Squadron Eleven (VFA-11), flown by aircrew assigned to the “Gladiators” of Strike Fighter Squadron One Zero Six (VFA-106), makes an arrested landing on the flight deck aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69). This is the first cycle of flight operations following a four-year mid-life overhaul. Eisenhower is currently underway in the Atlantic Ocean conducting carrier qualifications.
