Pacific Ocean (May 18, 2005) -- An F/A-18F Super Hornet, assigned to the "Flying Eagles" of Strike Fighter Squadron One Two Two (VFA-122), launches from the flight deck aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) as another is readied for launch. VFA-122 is the Pacific Fleet Replacement Squadron for the NavyÕs newest strike fighter, the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet. Reagan is currently underway in the Pacific Ocean conducting carrier qualifications for west coast Fleet Replacement Squadrons.
