Mediterranean Sea (July 9, 2005) -- A catapult shooter signals the launch of an F/A-18F Super Hornet, assigned to the "Black Knights" of Strike Fighter Squadron One Five Four (VFA-154), from one of four steam powered catapults aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). The Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group is currently deployed to the 6th Fleet area of operations.
