Persian Gulf (July 15, 2005) -- An F/A-18F Super Hornet, assigned to the “Black Aces” of Strike Fighter Squadron Four One (VFA-41), goes to full afterburner prior to launching off the flight deck during night flight operations aboard the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). The Nimitz Carrier Strike Group is currently on a regularly scheduled deployment and is currently participating in Maritime Security Operations.
