China Lake, Calif. (Sept. 21, 2006) -- After a successful operational test of the APG-79 AESA radar in support of the Strike Coordination and Reconnaissance (SCAR) mission an F/A-18F Super Hornet assigned to Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Nine (VX-9) circles over Ridgecrest, Calif., as it returns to its home at Naval Air Weapons Station (NAWS) China Lake.
