NORTH ARABIAN SEA (Feb. 24, 2007) -- An F/A-18F Super Hornet assigned to the "Black Knights" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 154 catches an arresting gear wire during flight operations aboard Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74). Pilots can trap any one of four arresting gear wires that help aircraft land on a short runway. Stennis Carrier Strike Group is currently supporting Maritime Security Operations.
