PERSIAN GULF (Dec. 11, 2007) -- An F/A-18F Super Hornet, attached to the "Red Rippers" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 11, launches from the waist of the flight deck aboard the Nimitz-class nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) during flight operations. Truman and embarked Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 3 are underway on a regular scheduled deployment in support of maritime security operations.
