PACIFIC OCEAN (April 18, 2008) -- An F/A-18F Super Hornet  assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 102 flies over the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) during flight operations. Aircraft are recovered on board in a process known as an arrested landing. The pilot has to maneuver the aircraft's tail hook to grab one of the four arresting wires stretched across the flight deck. Kitty Hawk is conducting her last spring deployment before being relieved by the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) later this summer.
