PACIFIC OCEAN (Aug. 6, 2008) -- An F/A-18F Super Hornet assigned to the "Diamondbacks" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 102, piloted by Lt. j.g. David Robinson and Lt. Cmdr. Jeremy Andrew, becomes the last aircraft launched the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63). Kitty Hawk, which departed May 28 from Yokosuka, Japan, will send more than 900 crewmembers and Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5, based in Naval Air Facility Atsugi, Japan, to the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73).
