Central Command Area of Responsibility (August 25, 2003) -- Vice Admiral Timothy J. Keating, Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Fifth Fleet, lands on the flight deck of USS Nimitz (CVN 68) in an F/A-18F Super Hornet from Strike Fighter Squadron Forty One (VFA-41). The Nimitz Carrier Strike Group and Carrier Air Wing Eleven (CVW-11) are deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and other operations as directed.
