Pacific Ocean (Feb. 29, 2004) -- A catapult "shooter" takes a quick look around to make sure all is clear before signaling clear for launch for a F/A-18F Super Hornet assigned to the "Diamondbacks" of Strike Fighter Squadron One Zero Two (VFA-102) aboard USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63). Currently under way in the 7th Fleet area of operation (AOR), Kitty Hawk is America's oldest active warship, and the first of the modern super carriers commissioned in 1961.
