Caption:
A F-117A of the 9th Fighter Squadron leads the "New Mexico Triad"
formation over the Kuwaiti desert. The F-117A is based at
Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico and is assigned to the 9th Fighter
Squadron. The F-16C on the Stealths right wing is from the
New Mexico Air National Guard, Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico and
is with the 188th Fighter Squadron. On the Stealth left wing
is a F-16C of the 523rd Fighter Squadron / 27th Fighter Wing,
Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico. Both F-16's wear the markings for
the commander of their respective squadrons. All three aircraft
are based in New Mexico and deployed to Kuwait at the same time to
support Operation Southern Watch and are seen here for the first time
in formation. Flying the F-117A, serial # 84-0924 is
Captain Joe "SLUP" XXXXXX, Callsign Rook 31. Flying the F-16C of
the 523rd Fighter Squadron, serial # 86-0303 is Lieutenant Colonel Rob
"SIMMER" XXXXXX, callsign Rook 32. Flying the F-16C of the 188th
FS, serial # 88-0543 is LieutenantColonel Ray "MEHO" XXXXXXX,
Callsign Rook 33.
