Atlantic Ocean (Sept. 8, 2004) -- Landing Signal Officers (LSO) grade the arrested landing of a C-2A Greyhound assigned to the "Rawhides" of Fleet Logistics Support Squadron Four Zero (VRC-40) aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). The LSO's primary responsibility is the safe and expeditious recovery of fixed-wing aircraft aboard ship. Truman and embarked Carrier Air Wing Eight (CVW-8) are currently participating in Carrier Qualifications off the East Coast of the United States in preparation for a scheduled deployment.
