At sea aboard USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) May 7, 2002 -- A Carrier
Onboard Delivery (COD) Plane from Fleet Tactical Support Squadron Four
Zero (VRC-40) prepares to touch down on the ship's flight deck during
flight operations. Truman is conducting carrier qualifications
off the East coast of the U.S., to provide flight training for new
pilots. By combining class work, simulators, and flight training,
the pilots will learn how to take off and land from a carrier.
