GULF OF OMAN (Nov. 27, 2008) -- An HH-60H Sea Hawk assigned to the
"Tridents" of Helicopter AntiSubmarine Squadron (HS) 3 takes off from
the guided-missile cruiser USS Monterey (CG 61) after transiting U.S.
Army Gen. David H. Patraeus, commander, United States Central Command.
Patraeus visited Monterey on Thanksgiving to meet the crew and thank
them for their service. The Ticonderoga class cruiser and Carrier
Strike Group (CSG) 2 are on deployment in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of
responsibility and are focused on reassuring regional partners of the
United States' commitment to security, which promotes stability and
