At sea aboard USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) May 7, 2002 -- A helicopter
assigned to the "Chargers" of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron
(HS-14) conducts .50 caliber machine gun target practice. Ships
at sea conduct live fire training using brightly colored inflatable
targets referred to as "Killer Tomatos". Kitty Hawk is providing
a forward presence in the Asian Pacific region, conducting training and
exercises with regional allies. Kitty Hawk is the Navy's only
permanently forward deployed aircraft carrier, and is homeported in
