Atlantic Ocean (June 8, 2004) -- A pilot from USS Detroit (AOE 4) checks the tail rotor on a MH-60S Knighthawk for safe flight while aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3). Kearsarge is currently deployed to transport elements of the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Air Combat Element to the Central Command Area of Responsibility (AOR) in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF).
