Straits of Hormuz (July 5, 2004) -- Aviation Electronics Technician 3rd Class James Woodward, seated in an MH-60S Knighthawk helicopter keeps watch on the waters around the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) transits the Straits of Hormuz. Kearsarge is surge deployed to transport elements of the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) to the Central Command Area of Responsibility in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and the global war on terrorism.
