Atlantic Ocean (Aug. 9, 2004) - An air crew member assigned to
Helicopter Combat Support Squadron Eight (HC-8), from the amphibious
assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3), participates in a Search and Rescue
(SAR) training exercise. Kearsarge is returning home after a surge
deployment to transport elements of the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit
(MEU) to the central command area of responsibility in support of
Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and the global war on terrorism. U.S.
