Island of Sumatra, Indonesia (Jan. 7, 2005) -- Pilots assigned to the
“Gunbearers” of Helicopter Combat Support Squadron Eleven
(HC-11), Detachment Two, fly their MH-60S Knighthawk helicopter in
white out conditions as they pass through a cloud in airspace just off
the coast of Sumatra, Indonesia near Banda Aceh. Helicopters and
Sailors assigned to the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) Carrier Strike
Group are supporting Operation Unified Assistance, the humanitarian
operation effort in the wake of the Tsunami that struck South East
Asia. The Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group is currently operating
in the Indian Ocean off the waters of Indonesia and Thailand. U.S. Navy
