Persian Gulf (June 8, 2005) - A landing signalman enlisted (LSE) guides the pilots of an SH-60F Seahawk helicopter assigned to the "Eightballers" of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Eight (HS-8) safely aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). The Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group is currently deployed to the Persian Gulf conducting operations in support of multi-national forces in Iraq and maritime security operations in order to set the conditions for security and stability in the region.
