South China Sea (Aug. 1, 2005)  - An SH 60B Seahawk helicopter assigned to Helicopter Anti-submarine Squadron Light Four Five (HSL-45) detachment one lands onto the flight deck of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49) for deck landing qualifications (DLQ). HSL-45, based at Naval Air Station North Island is embarked aboard the guided missile frigate USS Rodney M. Davis (FFG 60). Rodney M. Davis and Harpers Ferry are transiting to Brunei for the 5th phase of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) 2005. CARAT is an annual series of bilateral military training exercises with several Southeast Asian nations designed to enhance interoperability of the respective sea services.
