Kadena Air Base, Japan (AFPN)- A pararescueman  from the 31st Rescue Squadron, Kadena Air Base, Japan, is extracted by a Navy SH-60 helicopter from the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk during a non-combatant evacuation operation at Combat Town training area, Okinawa, Japan, during Joint Air and Sea Exercise 2005 here. The pararescue Airmen "rescued" U.S. Embassy personnel during training. Air Force HH-60 helicopters from the 33rd Rescue Squadron also participated in the exercise. JASEX provides a unique opportunity for air and naval forces to work together in a maritime environment, including training with the U.S. carrier strike group and attached air wing.
