New Orleans (Sept. 4, 2005) -- U.S. Navy Aviation Electrician's Mate 1st Class Dave Brusby scans the streets of New Orleans while conducting search and rescue missions from a MH-60S Knighthawk helicopter, assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron Two Eight (HSC-28). HSC-28 is currently embarked aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), now underway off the Gulf Coast. The Navy's involvement in the Hurricane Katrina humanitarian assistance operations is led by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in conjunction with the Department of Defense.
