New Orleans (Sept. 7, 2005) -- A U.S. Navy MH-60S Knighthawk helicopter
departs the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) after dropping
off supplies to aid in the relief effort of Hurricane Katrina. Iwo Jima
is currently in port in the city of New Orleans serving as the command
and control center for Joint Task Force Katrina, the combined military
effort to provide aid for the areas hit by Hurricane Katrina. The
Navy's involvement in the Hurricane Katrina humanitarian assistance
operations is led by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in
