Gulf of Mexico (Sept. 8, 2005) -- U.S. Navy Lt. Wes Goldstein of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., checks the tail rotor of his SH-60F Seahawk helicopter, assigned to the "Battle Cats" of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Light Four Three (HSL-43) during a preflight inspection on the flight deck aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). Various Navy helicopter squadrons from across the country have been using Truman to conduct Hurricane Katrina relief flights. The Navy's involvement in the Hurricane Katrina humanitarian assistance operations is led by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in conjunction with the Department of Defense.
