Gulf of Mexico (Sept. 13, 2005) - An SH-60 Seahawk helicopter assigned to the "Dusty Dogs" of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Seven (HS-7) takes off from the flight deck aboard USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) in support of hurricane relief efforts. The Nimitz class aircraft carrier is currently deployed to the Gulf Coast in support of Hurricane Katrina operations. The Navy's involvement in the Hurricane Katrina humanitarian assistance operations are led by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in conjunction with the Department of Defense.
