EIELSON AFB, Alaska-- An HH-60G Pave Hawk assigned to the 210th Rescue Squadron, Det 1, Eielson Air Force Base. Prepares for a mission out to Clear Air Base, Alaska on May 18, 2005. The primary mission of the HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter is to conduct day or night operations into hostile environments to recover downed aircrew or other isolated personnel during war. Because of its versatility, the helicopter is also tasked to perform operations other than military. These include civil search and rescue, emergency aero-medical evacuation, disaster relief, international aid, counter-drug activities and NASA space shuttle support.  USAF Photo by Airman 1st Class Anthony Nelson Jr  (Released)
