OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM (AFIE) -- An HH-60G Pave Hawk medical
evacuation helicopter, like this one crashed immediately after takeoff
Aug. 13 in Orgun-e, Afghanistan. The six airmen on board survived and
were treated for minor injuries. The helicopter had taken off from
Khost, Afghanistan, to transfer a wounded civilian to a surgical team
in Orgun-e. The crash occurred as the helicopter was leaving Orgun-e.
No patients were on board at the time of the incident. (U.S. Air
