Caption:

A U.S. Air Force KC-10 Extender returns to its forward operating base after conducting in-flight refueling with a B-1B Lancer bomber over the Mediterranean Sea on Nov. 24, 1997.  The aerial refueling tanker is refueling some of the U.S. aircraft deploying to the Persian Gulf for Operation Southern Watch.  Southern Watch is the U.S. and coalition enforcement of the no-fly-zone over Southern Iraq.  The Extender is deployed from the 32nd Air Refueling Squadron, McGuire Air Force Base, N.J.  DoD photo by Staff Sgt.
