Seventh Fleet Area of Responsibility (Dec. 10, 2003) -- An E/A-6B
Prowler assigned to the "Gauntlets" of Electronic Attack Squadron 136
(VAQ-136) is prepared for transport to the flight deck aboard USS Kitty
Hawk (CV 63) on one of three hydraulic elevator systems. The
Gauntlets are one of seven squadrons that make up Carrier Air Wing Five
(CVW-5) embarked aboard Kitty Hawk. Kitty Hawk is America's
oldest active warship and is forward deployed to Yokosuka, Japan.
