7th Fleet Area of Responsibility (AOR) (Feb. 21, 2004) -- An EA-6B Prowler assigned to the "Gauntlets" of Electronic Warfare Squadron One Three Six (VAQ-136), practices a "touch and go" landing aboard the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63). A "touch and go" landing allows the aircraft to land on the flight deck and then immediately take off by without deploying the aircrafts tail hook.  "Touch and Go" landings are a normal part of carrier qualifications naval flight crews. Currently under way in the 7th Fleet Area of Responsibility (AOR), Kitty Hawk is America's oldest active warship, and the first of the modern "super carriers" commissioned in 1961.
