The Mediterranean Sea (Apr. 4, 2003) -- An S-3B Viking assigned to the
"Checkmates" of Sea Control Squadron Twenty-Two (VS-22) prepares to
launch while a CH-46 Sea Knight helicopter lifts-off from the flight
deck of USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). Truman and Carrier Air Wing Three
(CVW-3) are deployed conducting missions in support of Operation Iraqi
Freedom. Operation Iraqi Freedom is the multi-national coalition
effort to liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraq's weapons of mass
destruction, and end the regime of Saddam Hussein. U.S. Navy
