Persian Gulf (Feb. 14, 2005) -- A plane captain assigned to the
"Checkmates" of Sea Control Squadron Two Two (VS-22), signal the pilots
of an S-3B Viking during pre-flight checks prior to launching from the
Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). Carrier Air
Wing Three (CVW-3) is embarked aboard Truman and is providing close air
support and conducting intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance
over Iraq. The Truman Carrier Strike Group is on a regularly scheduled
