At sea with USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) Oct. 30, 2002 -- A S-3B Viking assigned to the "Shamrocks" of Sea Control Squadron Four One (VS-41) prepares to make an arrested landing on the ship's flight deck.  VS-41 is stationed at Naval Air Station (NAS) North Island, Calif., and is the training squadron for instructing aviators how to fly the S-3B Viking.  Carl Vinson is underway off the west coast conducting training in preparation for an upcoming regularly scheduled six month deployment.  U.S. Navy photo by Photographer's Mate Airman Jonathan M.
