San Diego, Calif. (May 26, 2005) -- Sailors assigned to the
"Conquistadors" of Fleet Logistics Support Squadron Five Seven (VR-57)
stand in formation next to a C-9 Skytrain II aircraft on the flight
line before the plane takes flight for the last time. The C-9 airframe
was retired recently and is being replaced by Boeing's C-40A Clipper.
VR-57 assigned to Naval Air Station North Island is staffed by more
than 200 reservists and active duty Sailors and is one of several Navy
Reserve squadrons that comprise the commander, Fleet Logistics Support
