OVER ALASKA -- Two F-15 Eagles from Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska, intercept a C-21 on Aug. 15 during Alaska Shield/Northern Edge 05.  The exercise is the largest homeland defense/homeland security exercise conducted in Alaska.  It is an opportunity within the state to exercise an integrated local, state and federal government response to a series of simulated emergencies.  (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt.
