At sea aboard USS Gunston Hall (LSD 44) June 10, 1999 -- Amphibious
Assault Vehicles (AAVs) from the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU)
disembark from the Dock Landing Ship USS Gunston Hall bound for the
beach at Litohoro, Greece. Once ashore, elements of the 26th MEU
will form-up and move to a forward support base in Macedonia to take
part in NATO peacekeeping efforts in Kosovo. Gunston Hall and the
26th MEU are deployed in support of NATO Operation Allied Force.
