An Amphibious Assault Vehicle (AAV), with Unitas Marines of the Amphibious Assault Vehicle (AAV) platoon, enters the flooded welldeck at the stern of the U.S.S. Carter Hall (LSD-50) after completing a beach landing assault exercise during the Blue/Green work-up operation off the coast of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. This operation provided training and preparation for the annual Unitas XL-99 deployment to Central and South America, which promotes interoperability and cultivates stronger ties with our foreign allies.  (Official United States Marine Corps Photo by Cpl.
