Onslow Beach, N.C. (Jun. 9, 2004) -- U.S. Marines assigned to the 24th
Marine Expeditionary Unit (24th MEU) make their way to Onslow Beach
where Landing Craft, Air Cushions (LCAC) assigned to Assault Craft Unit
Four (ACU-4) wait to transport them to the amphibious assault ship USS
Kearsarge (LHD 3). Kearsarge is surged deployed to transport elements
of the 24th MEU Air Combat Element to the Central Command Area of
Responsibility in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and the
