Pacific Ocean (June 28, 2005) - U.S. Marines assigned to the 3rd Amphibious Assault Battalion, navigate their Amphibious Assault Vehicle (AAV) through the Pacific Ocean after departing the amphibious assault ship USS Peleliu (LHA 5) off the shores of Hawaii. Sailors and Marines assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Peleliu (LHA 5) are currently conducting amphibious training on the beaches of Pacific Missile Range Facility, on the island of Kauai, Hawaii.
