SAQLAWIYAH, Iraq -- An amphibious assault vehicle provides security
along a dirt road here July 21 during Operation Hard Knock. AAVs
assisted Company A, 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment personnel and
Iraqi Security Forces in sweeping through northern Saqlawiyah’s
Al Zakarit district to look for weapons and insurgent activity, as well
as gather census information on the populace.
